#11: Agent Emes In Shushan Shpittsburgh

There’s a new Agent Emes in town, and he’s not a second too soon!

Shpittsburgh’s Mayor Bupkis (Daniel V. Klein) has fallen under the ignominious influence of Joel Hammond (David Santiago), a ruthless real estate developer who dislikes all Jews; most of all, Agent Emes (newcomer, Mati Wechsler). Hammond has persuaded the mayor to issue a series of harsh and incomprehensible decrees, against the Jews, threatening their future in the city.

Of course, whenever things don’t look good Agent E, is enlisted to find a solution. This time around, he turns to his Aunt Chaya (Amy Guterson) to give him a hand, along with a group of men from his shul, who do their part spiritually to try and reverse the evil decrees.

This 11th, amazing episode in the series sets new quality standards in Jewish DVD entertainment. The actors are superb, and, like the other episodes in the series, “Agent Emes in Shushan Shittsburgh” mixes humor and excitement with Jewish lessons and values, which makes it easy to see why Agent Emes has become an International Sensation in just a few short years

Our all time favourite so far.... August 7, 2011

This episode is definitely a family favourite. Entertaining as always but with that special "Purim" connection that really makes you think.  The best episode since the Shavous Trial.

Amazing story. Brings reality to the Purim story, in the eyes of the young.

Another excellent episode!  As always, the children would gladly watch it over and over endlessly.  The best part is watching the expressions on their faces throughout the narrative.  It's not just for children, though, the lessons and story are relevant for everyone.

Very well done!

Clever modern parallel to the Purim story, that actually has you thinking about the comparisons, thereby reinforcing your knowledge of the story.
This one can be enjoyed by adults as well as children.

The New Agent Emes November 17, 2010
Reviewer: Lee Posniack from Spring Valley, NY United States
My son Aaron thoroughly enjoyed your latest effort.  He likes the way you took a story like Purim and made it modern.  He liked the way you brought back some of the original characters and he thinks the new Agent E is the original Agent E's younger brother; so he especially liked that connection.
